St. Luke's Family Medicine - Anderson
I feel strongly that patients receive the best care when they have a primary care physician who knows them well. I strive to get to know my patients so that I can provide the type of care that meets their needs the best. I want patients to feel comfortable coming to see me and feel open in talking to me about concerns that they may have. When I was growing up, I was always nervous about going to doctors’ visits and my goal is to be sure that my patients don’t feel that way.
I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and went to Drexel University School of Medicine and after that, completed my family medicine residency at Abington Hospital. My husband is from the Lehigh Valley and after I finished my residency in 2006, we moved back to the Lehigh Valley and I started working in Brodheadsville (Pocono Area) and then Macungie before joining the team at St. Luke’s Family Medicine – Anderson.
I enjoy providing care for all ages, from newborns to senior citizens. I also enjoy teaching residents and medical students and am excited that St. Luke’s shares my passion for educating the next generation of clinicians.
The most important thing that patients can do is talk to their doctor! Let me know what you are worried about, or what you are feeling. If there is something on your mind that concerns you, it’s ok to ask about it. Let me help!
I love living in the Lehigh Valley and enjoying all that it has to offer. My family and I can often be found cheering on the Iron Pigs at Coca-Cola Park and we are sure to catch some Phantoms games as well. My husband is a Penn State grad and we are all big Penn State football fans at my house. My kids are 8 and 11, so I spend most of my time out of work cheering for my son’s baseball and basketball teams, enjoying my daughter’s dance recitals and helping her with her Girl Scout cookie sales. As you might imagine, I am an excellent driver of the proverbial “Mom Taxi.”

“This was my first experience with Dr Block as my doctor I usually see was not in the office and it was a follow up from an urgent care visit so they moved up my appointment so I could be seen sooner. Dr Block was very easy to speak to and listened to what I had to say and answered my questions and was so kind and caring. Also very knowledgeable . We talked about my next steps and what she was recommending to just be sure all was well with my health issue I have been dealing with. She was very reassuring which helped to put me at ease, so I know whatever outcomes I may face I have someone who can help and talk to if needed. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a primary care physician!”
