Community Outreach

At St. Luke’s Family Medicine Residency/Sacred Heart Campus, our community roots run deep! We are an integral part of the Allentown Community and participate in outreach throughout the year.  Some of our longitudinal relationships include:

• We provide preparticipation examinations to local high school and middle school students in the Allentown School District, last year helping over 1000 students participate in school sports!
• We provided healthcare access to seasonal workers at a local farm.
• We launched a Reach Out and Read program in our office and participated in the annual Read Across America Day at local schools.
• We help to staff an outreach clinic at a local laundromat to those experiencing homelessness.
• We performed screening examinations for new kindergarten students at a local public school.
• We started a holistic weight loss program here in our office for underserved patients.
• We provided career talks to local high school and pre-med college students.
