“C” yourself with us!

GME family

Collaborative – small faculty to resident ratio (better than 3:1!) and office hours with your class make working at St. Luke’s Bethlehem a team event. Focus on multidisciplinary teamwork, social work, pharmacy and behavioral consultations integrated in the ambulatory and hospital settings.

Compassionate – compassion for patients and each other is at the heart of our mission. Our residency is trauma informed with a strong continuous wellness program. Your well-being is our priority!

Comprehensive – St. Luke’s Bethlehem is an Adult Level I Trauma Center receiving transfers from all other St. Luke’s campuses. Our residents treat high acuity patients with plenty of procedural opportunities in the hospital and outpatient settings. From caring for our prenatal patients thru supporting patients through their final days, our residents are trained in broad spectrum Family Medicine. We practice “Big City Medicine”, with a “Hometown Care Feel.” We focus on meeting the needs of our community. Our residents are trained to treat multiple generations of patients and their families in the same office setting. We prepare our residents to treat a variety of conditions ranging from mental health to chronic and complex cases.

Continuous – with strong and consistent Obstetric, Pediatric, and Geriatric experiences, we prepare residents to treat any patient, at any age and at any location here and abroad.  Family Medicine-Bethlehem was the 1st Family Medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Hospital. The residency program was established in 1997, with 100% board pass rate in the past 11 years.

Competency – our program prepares residents to enter the workforce by uniting the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the practice of medicine. We integrate our practice management, advocacy and behavioral health curriculums in a longitudinal manner so the nuances of each can be seen and understood throughout various clinical settings.
