Program Highlights

Pain Medicine Fellowship

St. Luke’s Pain Medicine Fellowship program’s mission is educating and instructing physicians with the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to become future leaders and exceptional care providers in multidisciplinary pain management. Our fellows will learn how to provide the highest standard of excellence delivering compassionate, independent, individualized patient-centered care.

The aims of St. Luke’s Pain Medicine Fellowship program are to help foster and cultivate pain fellows into well-rounded, respectful, and ethical physician leaders within the pain medicine community to comprehensively manage all aspects of the pain spectrum of acute and post-operative pain, chronic pain management and cancer pain management. To achieve these aims, pain fellows will be exposed to the varying aspects of pain management via a multi-modal approach. We will closely collaborate with Neurology, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Palliative Care, and Acute Pain Services to provide a balanced fellowship training as well as ample opportunities for hands-on training in interventional approaches to manage acute and chronic pain. Fellows will undergo training in leadership, education, and research to develop skills necessary for a successful transition into pain medicine practice and remain lifelong learners in a constantly evolving field of medicine, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
