Graduate Medical Education

Curriculum

Our residency program is resource-based, competency-driven and assessment-validated. The program meets all current guidelines and requirements.

The three-year program includes core clinical rotations in radiology and pathology and a comprehensive general internal medicine and general surgery rotation. Specialty medical rotations such as behavioral health, infectious disease, sports medicine and dermatology also will be provided.

Podiatry clinics, manned by residents and faculty, provide community care in both Allentown and Bethlehem. In addition, sophisticated training is provided in lower extremity wound care and Charcot reconstruction.

Emphasis is placed on requirements and skills needed to qualify for podiatric medical and surgical boards. Residents receive extensive experience in both forefoot and rearfoot surgery.
