What is a Nurse Residency?

St. Luke’s Nurse Residency Program seeks to educate, inform and empower newly-hired RNs and provide them with the skills, confidence and resources to excel in their careers. The program lasts one year and consists of monthly didactic experiences with extensive simulation and expert instruction, as well as individual mentoring provided by a nurse preceptor. Residents will also complete an evidence-based research project.
