St. Luke's University Health Network is continuing to invest in the Easton community by opening a state-of-the-art, surgical services suite and adding gastrointestinal testing and services. The improvements to the facility, innovative technology and expansion of services reinforce St. Luke's commitment to the greater Easton-area community, allowing patients to have access to these kinds of services and world-class health care close to home.
"The recent upgrades to our main lobby and exterior signage, as well as the new operating room suite and expansion of treatments and services, all represent the continued investment that St. Luke's has made in the community," says Linda Grass, president, St. Luke's Easton Campus. “This commitment to the highest level of care for Easton-area residents assures them that they will continue to receive quality, compassionate care in a community hospital setting with access to specialists throughout the St. Luke's Network."
Patients at St. Luke's Easton Campus already benefited from inpatient and emergency room care, radiology and lab services and now, patients can receive even more specialty services like general surgery, urology, gynecology, gastroenterology and orthopedic and vascular care.
St. Luke's also recently announced that well-known specialty care practices, St. Luke's Endoscopy Center – Twin Rivers (formerly Twin Rivers Endoscopy Center) and St. Luke's Gastroenterology – Twin Rivers (formerly Twin Rivers Gastroenterology), would be joining the Network. “We are pleased for our patients and our team to be a part of St. Luke's," says Shanker Mukherjee, MD. "We are very excited by the opportunities it brings to all of us. Most of all, we look forward to continuing to care for the community's needs as part of St. Luke's for many years to come."
Robert Bloch, MD, of St. Luke's General Surgery - Easton and chief of surgery at St. Luke's Easton Campus, emphasizes the importance of having access to a host of specialists, not just at the Easton Campus, but throughout the Network, treating patients under the trusted St. Luke's umbrella.
"I've been practicing in the area a long time, so it's such a thrill to be able to go back home to the Easton Campus," says Dr. Bloch. “I'm pleased that we can offer patients easier access to exceptional surgical care without making them travel out of the area; we're able to build a lasting relationship with patients, earning their trust and putting their health and well-being first.
