Zahra Pediatrics, under the leadership of Ramlah Vahanvaty, MD, is now part of St. Luke’s University Health Network. As part of St. Luke’s, her patients will continue to receive the same excellent quality health care in the same location, but also with the additional support and services the Network provides.
Zahra Pediatrics, founded by Dr. Moiz Mohyuddin, Dr. Vahanvaty’s father, has been serving the needs of children in the Poconos for 44 years. Dr. Vahanvaty is board-certified in pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Vahanvaty grew up in the Poconos and received her undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College before pursuing her medical degree in Pakistan. She returned to the United States to complete her training in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Vahanvaty provides comprehensive health care for children from cradle through college, ranging from comprehensive well-child visits, sport and school physicals and acute care for illness or injury, plus much more. Her special interests are the diagnosis and management of asthma, anxiety disorder and ADHD.
Dr. Vahanvaty’s goal is to support parents as they nurture healthy, happy and confident kids from birth to 21 years of age. “I’m dedicated to a child's total wellness, both physically and emotionally,” says Dr. Vahanvaty. “I take their trust and confidence in me very seriously, and I feel privileged to be part of each patient’s growth and development as well as their overall health and happiness.”
