Revolutionizing the way Lehigh Valley patients manage their health care, St. Luke’s has introduced its new MyChart patient portal on the St. Luke’s mobile app.
Now patients have the ability to seize control of their healthcare with just a click of a button – not only on their computers but also on their mobile devices. Among the many features available at their fingertips: test results, appointment requests and even the ability to chat with their physicians.
The new MyChart patient portal is possible thanks to St. Luke’s successful roll-out of the Epic electronic medical record system across the Network’s physician practices in recent months.
"We just brought Epic to our 300-plus outpatient practices, further driving primary and specialty care accessibility in our communities," said St. Luke’s Chief Information Officer Chad Brisendine. "The Network's patient-focused approach promotes accessibility and ease-of-use. We’re making it convenient and simple for our patients to manage their health care from anywhere, at any time."
Already St. Luke’s is in the midst of planning its next app release – targeted for 2018. The new app will include upgraded scheduling, find-a-doctor and find-a-location functions.
“We are strengthening our relationship with our patients through better technology,” Brisendine said. “We believe our patients should be able to reach us from anywhere, at any time.”
