New Practice Bolsters St. Luke’s Presence in Western New Jersey
October 06, 2017

MILFORD, NJ – St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice has opened its doors, becoming the newest practice in the St. Luke’s University Health Network and extending the network’s reach in New Jersey.

St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice, which is located at 802 Milford-Warren Glen Road in Milford, New Jersey, is a sister location to Village Medical Center in Phillipsburg. This arrangement means the two practices will share call coverage, giving patients access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice offers the services of a primary care physician and St. Luke’s Warren Hospital – which has gone through a period of tremendous growth over the past five years – to the residents of Hunterdon County.

The practice offers primary care for patients throughout their entire lifetimes, from newborns to seniors. Although St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice is new, its physician, Gerard Delmonico, MD, is a trusted name with nearly 30 years of service to patients in the Warren and Hunterdon region. In fact, he also established Village Medical Center.

“It has been St. Luke’s mission to come into this area and offer expanded primary care and specialty services,” Dr. Delmonico explains. “Milford Family Practice offers a strong alternative to current care in the area through the network and resources of St. Luke’s.”

Dr. Delmonico earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, before completing an internship at Jersey City Medical Center and his residency at St. Luke's Warren Hospital. He chose to practice family medicine based on the age range of the patients and their unique needs.

“The beauty of family medicine is it engages all generations,” Dr. Delmonico says. “I have the pleasure of caring for [patients going on] three and four generations in families.”

St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice is located about 15 to 20 minutes from both St. Luke’s Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg and St. Luke’s Care Now in Clinton should more acute needs arise.

Presently, St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice will be open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 am to 5 pm; on Wednesday from 8:30 am to 8 pm; and on Friday from 8 am to 1 pm. A physician will be on call 24/7. For more information about St. Luke’s Milford Family Practice or to make an appointment, call (908) 847-1200.
