Dr. Leigh Hopkins Joins St. Luke’s Orthopaedic Specialists

East Stroudsburg, PA (10/7/2016) – Leigh Hopkins, MD, has joined St. Luke's Orthopaedic Specialists located in the St. Luke’s East Stroudsburg Health Center, 3 Parkinsons Road in East Stroudsburg.

Dr. Hopkins is an experienced general orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, sports medicine, and spine issues.

Most recently, Dr. Hopkins served as Chief of Orthopaedics at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden, NJ, and practiced there as well as at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County, Centennial Surgery Center in Voorhees, NJ, and consulted at Memorial Hospital of Salem County in Salem, NJ.

A resident of Bryn Mawr, Delaware County, he earned his bachelor’s and juris doctor degrees from Duke University in 1978 and 1981, respectively, and graduated from Johns Hopkins University Medical School in 1989.

His educational background also includes earning a Physician Leadership Program Certificate from the Wharton School in 1998.

He is fellowship-trained, having completed a spine surgery fellowship at New England Baptist/The Deaconess Hospital which is affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard University Medical School in 1995.
