BETHLEHEM, PA (10/12/2015) — St. Luke's University Health Network has been voted the 2015 region's top provider of Nursing Services - Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke's, Best Urgent Care, Best Cancer Center, Best Emergency Services and Best Place to Have a Baby by the readers of The Morning Call in its 12th annual "Reader's Choice" readers' poll.

St. Luke's has been voted top Reader's Choice in the following categories during the following Reader’s Choice poll:

• Best Place to have a Baby: 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015
• Nursing Services: 2006, 2013, 2014, 2015
• Emergency Services: 2008, 2014, 2015
• Cancer Center: 2012, 2013, 2015
• Urgent Care (St. Luke’s CareNow): 2013, 2014, 2015

Ballots were cast over a two-week period in late summer for preferred business providers across a variety of industries including health care. More than 77,000 votes were cast in 294 categories, according to The Morning Call.

For more than 95 years, the Visiting Nurse Association of St. Luke’s has been caring for people within the community. St. Luke’s Home Health cares for and teaches patients and family members the steps needed to help recover from surgery or to manage illness. Our patients benefit by receiving care in the comfort of their own homes and being involved in their own care. St. Luke’s Hospice provides patients and their families with a holistic team approach to end-of-life care. Services are provided to patients in their own homes, the home of a relative, a nursing facility, or wherever the patient calls home. Additionally general in-patient (GIP) hospice services are available at our free standing St. Luke’s Hospice House located on Black River Road in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. St. Luke's University Health Network has earned national Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation as an Integrated Network Cancer Program (INCP) from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons (CoC), one of only two health care networks in the state of Pennsylvania to receive this distinction, and one of only 51 health care networks nationwide.
