With the bulk of her training and experience in underserved communities, Andrea Ardite, MD, has always strived to give the highest level of care to patients regardless of socioeconomic backgrounds and will now continue to care for patients in the St. Luke’s University Health Network. She recently relocated to the Lehigh Valley from New York City and joined St. Luke’s Hamilton OB/GYN at 1941 West Hamilton Street, Allentown, and St. Luke’s Valley OB/GYN Associates located at 200 Apple Street in Quakertown, 2793 Geryville Pike in Pennsburg and 322 S. 17thStreet in Allentown.
Dr. Ardite’s clinical interests include high-risk pregnancies, obesity in women with a focus on nutrition and urban and underserved medicine. She encourages patients to always take responsibility for keeping themselves healthy and strong, especially during pregnancy. “I always advise patients to remember to do for their unborn child what they would do for their children at home, like keeping doctor appointments, making smart food choices and staying active.”
Dr. Ardite comes to St. Luke’s after working for nearly 20 years in inner city hospital systems. Originally from Bellmawr, New Jersey, she received her undergraduate degree from Rider University in New Jersey and her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine Dominica, West Indies. She then went on to complete her residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York where she continued to work for 20 years.
“I’m excited to be caring for women as part of St. Luke’s growing health network and to bring my family here to the Lehigh Valley,” says Dr. Ardite. “Women are the backbone of the family, so keeping women healthy in body and mind will also keep families healthy so that the next generation is strong and secure. ”
