Partial Hospitalization

St. Luke’s Partial Hospitalization Program is a short-term, community-based treatment for adults 18 years and older who do not require inpatient hospitalization, but are in need of more intensive treatment than standard outpatient therapy and psychiatric appointments.

The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program provides mental health support and treatment in a comfortable and relaxed setting. Participants engage in a therapeutic environment, with professional staff and a community of peers to work on their specific treatment goals.

The program is offered Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 3 pm and provides five group therapy sessions each day, as well as individual therapy, care coordination, and psychiatry services.

Program Eligibility

In order to participate in the Partial Hospitalization Program, specific eligibility criteria must be present. You or your loved one may be eligible if one or more of the criteria are met:

  • Able to take part in a group-based treatment setting on a daily basis for one to two weeks
  • Dedicated to learning healthy coping skills to manage symptoms
  • Ability to work with professional staff to identify mental health treatment needs, objectives and goals
  • Ability to exhibit control and behavior for appropriate participation in a group setting
  • Lack of significant progress toward treatment goals at a lesser level of care; not succeeding in a traditional outpatient setting
