Message from Senior Medical Director of Primary Care

There has never been a better time to practice primary care in the Lehigh Valley, specifically at St. Luke’s University Health Network!

Our network has experienced unprecedented growth over the past several years and we now care for patients in eight counties throughout northeast Pennsylvania, as well as Warren and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey. From the bustling downtown regions of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, to the rolling hills of our Miners and Monroe campuses, we care for a very diverse population of patients. We bring care to the community, allowing patients access to outstanding health care near home. This allows for a multitude of practice opportunities for primary care providers in diverse patient population settings. We are a teaching hospital with a medical school and multiple residency programs. We have something for everyone. As a member of the St. Luke’s family, you will find a supportive, physician-led leadership team, guided by our PCRAFT values of pride, caring, respect, accountability, flexibility and teamwork.

Having grown up in the Lehigh Valley, I can attest to the quality of life here. We are very close to major metropolitan areas like New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, DC, but I would argue that you may not want to leave! From the Easton Circle to historic downtown Bethlehem to the new PPL Center in Allentown, we have the urban life covered. Within a short drive, you can find miles of farmland and the Pocono Mountains, with year round outdoor activities such as skiing, rafting, fishing and hiking. This is also a great place to raise a family, with multiple options of both public and private schools, as well as seven local colleges and universities. When you join our team, I am confident that you will enjoy a very satisfying career and a great place to live.

The Greater Lehigh Valley: Yes! We Have That!

There’s nothing you can’t find in the Lehigh Valley.

First of all, the Lehigh Valley is set amid gentle hills and charming country sides. It is home to Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton, as well as dozens of small towns and picturesque boroughs. Steeped in pre-Colonial, Early American and industrial history, the region’s storied past became its uplifting present, providing a fun, safe, exciting and thriving place to live, work and raise a family.

New York-caliber restaurants? Got ‘em. Nationally recognized events like Musikfest and Christkindlemarkt (as well as smaller, quaint festivals)? Yup, they’re here. Beautiful parks and miles and miles of trails and waterways? You bet. Tons of outdoor adventure opportunities? Just think Pocono Mountains! World famous companies making some of the finest products around? How about Crayola Crayons, Yuengling Brewery and Martin Guitars to name a few. World-class museums? Yes. Exciting sports? Only if you like baseball, hockey, soccer, football and more! Excellent education? Hundreds of high schools and seven highly regarded colleges and universities. World class healthcare? St. Luke’s has that covered.

Travel outside the Lehigh Valley proper and you’re in for a treat. The towns, boroughs and small communities that make up the Greater Lehigh Valley offer history, adventure and an atmosphere of discovery that would take you a lifetime to explore. And if you like “the city,” take a day trip to New York, Philadelphia or Washington, DC – yes, they’re that close and just waiting for you...

The Greater Lehigh Valley has it all!
