Preparing for Practice in Acute Care Setting

The Critical Care and Emergency Medicine Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) Fellowship programs prepare the physician assistant or nurse practitioner for practice in the emergency medicine or critical care setting.

In addition to didactic lectures, the PA/NP fellows have the opportunity to become more proficient in the care of the acutely ill patient. The PA/NP fellows receive hands-on clinical experiences preparing them for their role as specialty clinicians in emergency medicine and critical care. These clinical experiences are supported by evidence-based didactic learning taught by experienced clinical faculty.
