Fellowship Vascular

St. Luke’s has been providing leading edge vascular intervention for decades. St. Luke’s Vascular Fellowship will provide a robust vascular operative and educational experience. St. Luke's University Hospital Network is diverse and expansive with fully integrated Epic ambulatory and inpatient EMR across a dozen hospital campuses and hundreds of ambulatory sites, training more than 400 GME Residents and Fellows, including a general surgery residency. St. Luke's University Hospital - Bethlehem is a CMS 5 Star Hospital and an IBM Watson Top 100 Major Teaching Hospital, 5 years in a row. Bethlehem houses our award-winning Level I Trauma Center, which serves as our tertiary care facility. The Bethlehem hospital is the official “International Show Site for GE Health Care” and was the first US installation of the Discovery Hybrid OR (2011). Additionally, there is a Discover IR suite as well as a bi-plane Neuro-Interventional room. A second Discovery Hybrid OR is near completion at our Allentown Campus and another Discovery IR suite is planned for our Warren Campus in New Jersey. We have 17 Integrated Vascular Labs performing over 100 studies daily. We are one of the participating sites in the Roadster landmark trial for TCAR. We participate in the VQI, in multiple modules including carotid, aortic and hemodialysis access. We have an extensive aortic surgery program including elective and ruptured EVAR, FEVAR, TEVAR and percutaneous and open visceral reconstruction. In addition to the tremendous exposure to vascular pathology, proctored by our vascular surgeon faculty, fellows will also spend dedicated time in our interventional vascular suites working with the interventional radiology faculty. Research opportunities are encouraged through our active Clinical Research Department supporting both internally sponsored and industry sponsored trials. Medical education is at the core of St. Luke’s mission and there is strong support of all GME programs from the Executive Administration & the Board of Trustees.

Our faculty is comprised of fellowship trained vascular surgeons and interventional radiologists who are deeply committed to excellent patient outcomes, fellow education and training in a team-based multidisciplinary setting. The fellow will learn vital aspects of managing all aspects of vascular pathology.  Upon completion of the program, the fellow will be able to demonstrate competency in all areas of vascular pathology including diagnostic and treatment modalities, patient care management and leadership of a multidisciplinary vascular program.
