Block rotations

Inpatient Consult Service at Bethlehem Campus Hospital
As part of a multidisciplinary consult team, provide consultative care recommendations to primary teams caring for older acutely-ill medical, surgical, and psychiatric elderly patients while learning clinical decision-making skills

Hospice & Palliative Care at both the Bethlehem Campus hospital and the St. Luke's Brian D. Perin Hospice House (link the St. Luke’s Page for the hospice house)
Fellows develop competencies related to the provision of end-of-life care in the community, following both patients receiving care at patient residential facility and patients receiving home hospice services.

Specialty rotations Month long rotations in the inpatient and clinic settings to iincrease knowledge of the following diverse specialties: Neurology Cognitive Disorders, Neurology Movement Disorders, Psychiatry, podiatry, wound care and uro-gynocology.

Geriatric-Psychiatry At our St. Luke’s Sacred Heart Campus Fellows Learn to provide consultative evaluation and management services to older medical and surgical patients in the context of clinical situations requiring psychiatric input such as determination of decisional capacity, physical rehabilitation, somatization, delirium, dementia, and psychosis

Rehabilitation- In a healthy variety of community based settings including Short term and Acute rehab, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital and their outpatient offices Fellows are successfully managing sub-acute care and skilled nursing home patients, while learning to understand administrative requirements of this setting, including the role of a medical director
