St. Luke's Retina Center is the only hospital-based retina center in the Lehigh Valley. Part of
St. Luke's University Health Network, the Retina Center specializes in the testing and treatment of problems relating to the:
Retina – The inner lining at the back of the eye that works like the film in a camera and is largely responsible for vision.
The vitreous body – The transparent gel-like substance that fills most of the eyeball behind the iris.
Some of the more common conditions that affect the retina and the vitreous body are diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. St. Luke's Retina Center is dedicated to providing the highest-quality care to its patients for these and the many other retinal disorders.
