Fruits and vegetables

Eating enough of the “right” foods is a struggle for many of us, and knowing what and who to believe about a “proper diet” can be confusing. In general, eating healthy foods is one of the best things you can do to prevent your risk of a number of chronic illnesses. Avoid processed or refined foods, and eat a low-fat, plant-based diet, focusing on whole foods and including at least 5 or more servings of vegetables and fruits every day. This will markedly reduce your risk of chronic diseases, and can even reverse chronic conditions that you already have. Avoid sugar sweetened beverages and drink plenty of liquids such as water, non-sweetened carbonated waters, unsweetened tea.

Falling short on your intake of veggies and fruit? Eating more fruits and vegetables is easier when you plan & pack! If it’s in your cart and in your fridge, you are much more likely to eat it. Add produce to your shopping list each week, and pack several servings to take with you each day.
