Commitment to Patients, Communities and Employees
"All of the programs entered are examples of the commitment hospitals and health systems make, every day, to their patients, communities, and employees," said HAP President and CEO Andy Carter. "The 19 awardees are among the most innovative and creative in the health care field, and we salute their accomplishments."
"HAP's Achievement Awards program began in 1978 as a way to recognize the innovation of Pennsylvania's health care organizations," Carter said. "HAP member hospitals and health systems look and operate very differently now than they did back then, particularly in this era of reform. But one thing has not changed: their commitment to quality and continuous improvement as they deliver care in their communities."
