Bethlehem, PA (10/12/2012) – Gastroenterologist Ayaz Matin, MD, has recently joined the St. Luke’s University Health Network in the St. Luke’s Gastroenterology Specialists practice. Gastroenterologists specialize in diseases of the digestive system, also called the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Dr. Matin has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the esophagus, stomach, intestines, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts.

His areas of expertise include:

Dr. Matin earned his medical degree at The Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his residency program in internal medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital / Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed an advanced endoscopy fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Matin is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.

Dr. Matin’s office is located at St. Luke’s Doctors’ Pavilion, 701 Ostrum Street, Suite 601 in Bethlehem. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.
