Dr. Justin Psaila is Named Vice President,
Medical Affairs, St. Luke's Riverside Hospital

Bethlehem, PA (5/3/2011) - Justin P. Psaila, MD, FACP has been named Vice President of Medical Affairs for St. Luke's Riverside Hospital. Dr. Psaila is currently the Interim Chief, Department of Medicine, at St. Luke's Hospital - Bethlehem Campus, and will continue to serve in this capacity.
Dr. Psaila also has served as the Section Chief of Hospital Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital – Bethlehem Campus since 2005. During that time he has grown the hospitalist program from four doctors to 19 doctors and eight advanced practitioners. Additionally, Dr. Psaila helped to establish St. Luke's Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship and serves as a faculty member for the St. Luke's graduate medical education program. He has been a member of the St. Luke's medical staff for the past seven years.
Dr. Psaila earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York and completed his internship and residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Care. Dr. Psaila also is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of Hospital Medicine.
Medical Leadership and Liaison to Physicians
In his new role, Dr. Psaila will provide medical leadership and serve as a liaison to physicians named to the medical staff at St. Luke's Riverside Hospital, its employees and the community.

Dr. Psaila lives in Center Valley with his wife Karen and their three daughters.
