Allentown, Pa. (5-3-2011) - Is running a 5K on your bucket list? Not sure how to start or how to fit training into your hectic schedule?

Join Bart Yasso, Chief Running Officer at Runner’s World, and Budd Coates, Director of Health and Fitness at Rodale Press, as they offer tips for the beginner runner interested in training for a 5K at “From Your Couch to Your First 5K” held 6:30 – 7:45 pm on May 16 in the 1st Floor Education Center, East Wing of St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown Campus. The hospital is located at 1736 Hamilton Street, Allentown.

In addition to Yasso and Coates, Sarah Lorge, avid runner, contributing editor to Runner’s World and mom to two small children, will provide information about fitting exercise into a busy schedule as well as local opportunities for training and competing.

Yasso is one of the few people to have completed marathons on all seven continents from Antarctica to Mt. Kilimanjaro. Coates, a four-time qualifier of the U.S. Olympic Trials, has coached runners of all levels for more than 30 years. The book will be available for purchase at a reduced price for session attendees.
