Bethlehem, PA (5/20/2011) - Nearly 1,400 people are expected to attend St. Luke’s Outback Adventure at the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville, PA May 21, 2011, from 4 to 8 pm in honor of National Survivors Day. The event is held exclusively for St. Luke’s cancer survivors and their family and friends. Members of the St. Luke’s Cancer Center family will also be on site as volunteers. This year, the St. Luke’s event is themed Survivors Day Outback Adventure.

Survivors Day is an annual event held for cancer survivors and their family and friends to celebrate survivorship and life, and the very people with the strength and courage to face a diagnosis of cancer.

Registered St. Luke’s cancer survivors are admitted free and were permitted to register up to four guests who will enjoy Australian-themed animal presentations, guided zoo tour, origami, arts and crafts with the Banana Factory and face painting St. Luke’s HealthStar Van will also be on site offering first aid and blood pressure checks.
