Survivors Day Safari for Cancer Survivors at the Lehigh Valley Zoo

Bethlehem, PA (04/12/2010) - The Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville, PA will be open exclusively for registered cancer survivors and their family and friends Saturday, May 15, from 4 to 8 pm to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day. This year, the St. Luke's event is themed Survivors Day Safari.
Survivors Day Safari is held to celebrate survivorship and life, and the very people with the strength and courage to face a diagnosis of cancer.
Event registration is required. Registered cancer survivors are admitted free and may register up to four guests at $5 per guest. Call St. Luke's InfoLink at 1-877-610-6161 toll free or register online. Children under age 2 do not require registration and will be admitted free.
Each registered cancer survivor and up to four guests (over age 2) will receive a meal deal voucher for the Zoo's café and a paddle boat ride voucher.
Lots to See and Do!
All guests can enjoy animal presentations, a guided zoo tour, strolling magic, a Magic and Illusion show, and face painting and goat feeding for the kids. St. Luke's HealthStar Van will also be on site offering first aid and blood pressure checks.
Cancer survivors who register by April 23, 2010 receive a complimentary Survivors Day t-shirt. All registered guests receive a commemorative Survivors Day pin. Registrations and payment must be received no later than May 7, 2010.
Cancer survivors and their party must verify their registration at the at the Main Admission Gate entrance prior to admission. Registration verification begins at 3:30 pm; entry to the zoo begins at 4 pm.
