General Services

St. Luke's Pediatric Associates treats young patients in a manner that is comfortable for them and comforting for their parents. We know your child may be anxious or even fearful about going to the doctor. We understand that children are not small adults: their developing bodies may require special medications and different medical treatments. Our pediatricians are pediatric specialists, having completed additional pediatric training beyond medical school. They are trained to be sensitive to the special health-care needs of children from birth through adolescence.

St. Luke's Pediatric Associates understand children – and their parents. Having an ill child is very worrisome, even for the most confident parent. To ease your apprehension, we'll answer questions, provide additional information and offer support as we carefully monitor your child's physical and mental development. Services include:

  • Sick and well-child care
  • Immunizations
  • School and sports physicals
  • Chronic disease management, including treatment for asthma

Appointments/Office Hours

Office hours are by appointment. For an appointment, call St. Luke’s Pediatric Associates at our Bethlehem office, 484-526-3060 or our Allentown office, 610-770-8240. If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so as far in advance as possible.

If your child experiences an emergency illness or condition, please call 911 immediately.

Payment, including co-payment, is due at the time of the office visit. Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card are accepted.

Our office accepts most major insurances and managed care plans. Please bring all insurance information, including insurance cards, to all appointments.

As your child’s primary care physician, we will coordinate all of your child’s medical care. Whenever medically necessary, we will refer you to a specialist and continue to coordinate your child’s care with the consulting physician.

To ensure insurance payment, many insurance plans require a prior written referral before you may engage the services of a specialist. Otherwise, you may be held responsible for fees associated with your child’s care. We may not issue retroactive referrals for care already rendered. If you have questions regarding referrals, please call our office.

Prescription Refills

Call either office location and we will direct you on how to refill prescriptions.

Lab/Test Results

If lab studies are ordered for your child, we will help you schedule a follow-up visit for the interpretation of the test results.
