Beef With Broccoli
Serves 6
- 12 ounces top round steak, thinly sliced
- ½ cup onion, 1"dice
- ½ cup green onion, sliced thin
- I cup celery, cut diagonally
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 1/4 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 pound broccoli, cut up
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 18 ounces lo mein noodles, cooked
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon cooking oil
- 1/4 pound green pepper, 1" dice
- 1/2 pound carrots, shredded
Cut beef into thin slices. Fry slightly in a wok. Remove and set aside.
Using the same oil, put in onions and garlic. Saute for a few minutes, then add in celery, green pepper and carrots. Saute until carrots are almost done.
Add in oyster sauce, soy sauce, mushrooms and previously fried beef.
Put in broccoli and cover wok. Cook only until broccoli turns dark green. Then mix with serve over lo mein noodles garnish with green onion.
