Eye Surgery at St. Luke’s

Laser Eye Surgery – Laser eye surgery reshapes the cornea (the front part of the eye) and improves its ability to focus.

Sutureless Small Incision Cataract Extraction – A cataract is an eye disease in which the lens becomes covered by a film that hinders sight. Cataracts eventually can lead to a total loss of sight. During cataract extraction, a surgeon makes a small incision in the eye, opens the lens capsule, removes the nucleus and vacuums out the soft lens cortex. Once the cataract has been removed, a clear artificial lens is implanted into the eye’s lens capsule.
