Down on the Farm at the Lehigh Valley Zoo

Celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day and join us down on the farm!
Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm

A barnyard of fun awaits you during our 2012
St. Luke's Cancer Survivors Day at the Lehigh Valley Zoo. You'll be greeted by cows, pigs, horses, goats, sheep and chickens.

Cancer survivors and their party must verify their registration at the Main Admission Gate entrance prior to admission. Registration verification begins at 3:30 pm; entry to the zoo begins at 4 pm.

Each registered survivor and up to four registered guests (age 2 and over) will receive:

• Meal deal voucher for the Café or the “Farm in the Zoo” area
• One voucher redeemable for a wagon ride or paddle boat ride

All guests may enjoy:

• Barnyard animal presentation
• Guided zoo tours
• Goat feeding; Lorikeet exhibit
• Country music from CAT Country 96
• Square dancing demonstration
• St. Luke's first aid station and blood pressure check

Cancer survivors and their guests will receive a commemorative 2012 Survivors Day pin and a bandana. You also will have the opportunity to purchase a commemorative survivors day T-shirt ($10 each, cash or check) at the event while supplies last.

It looks like Saturday, May 19 will be sunny and in the low 80s! However, if the weather should change, our rain date is Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm. If weather is inclement, notice will be posted on this page (www.slhn.org/zoo).

Location/Driving Directions

The Lehigh Valley Zoo is located at 5150 Game Preserve Road in Schnecksville, PA. Maps & Directions

Please be advised, PennDOT has closed its covered bridge on Game Preserve Road until further notice. Please use this alternate route to visit the Zoo.

From Routes 22 and I-78, follow Route 309 North for approximately 8-9 miles. You will PASS Game Preserve Road and the entrance sign for Lehigh Valley Zoo, and instead follow PennDOT alternate bus route signs. Turn left onto Mill Creek Road and follow it to the end, where it forms a "T" with Game Preserve Road. Make a left onto Game Preserve Road.

The main vehicle entrance to the Zoo is less than a mile ahead on your right. Once you have entered the main vehicle gates, follow the one-way road to the Lehigh Valley Zoo parking area and entrance.
