Community Outreach and Education
St. Luke's Center for Neuroscience is dedicated to providing educational opportunities for patients and family members. In addition to the support groups below, the Center offers other classes throughout the year. Look for upcoming programs in Classes and Events.
Stroke Club
The Stroke Club is a group of stroke survivors and their families and friends who meet regularly to socialize and learn to deal with problems related to stroke. By emphasizing what can be done rather than what can't be done, the Club may give new hope and insight to those involved.
The Stroke Club is open to stroke survivors, family members, friends and other interested people.
Goals of the Stroke Club
Education
- Learn about stroke, its causes and effects
- Increase self-help, problem-solving and preventative measures
- Provide a resource group to new stroke victims and their families
Support
- Provide encouragement regarding mutual problems and accomplishments
- Enhance individual dignity and self-worth
Socialization
- Reduce feelings of isolation
- Integrate into social situations

First Tuesdays
First Tuesdays is a series of MS-related programs offered free to patients, their family members and the community. Each program will include a presentation followed by time for questions and answers.

- First Tuesday evening of each month
- St. Luke's University Hospital – Bethlehem Campus, Priscilla Payne Hurd Education Center, 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem
- Agenda
- 6:15 – 7 pm: Meet other MS patients. Free refreshments.
- 7 – 8 pm: Presentation from health care expert followed by Q&A
